Stability and hygroscopy of CALSEC®

Exposed to atmosphere conditions, the pure lime will hydrate quickly, losing its desiccant efficiency. A coating of 10% of oil on lime could not be an enough efficient protection.

A good dispersion as this given with CALSEC® CH will keep 80% of its activity even after 2 days of atmosphere exposition, while lime and 10% oil coated lime will be totally hydrated.
